Shirazz is a six-piece Melbourne jazz band specialising in classic jazz of the 20s and 30s. Their repertoire is based on traditional dixieland, New Orleans jazz, swing and blues, but with reinvented pop and rock classics added in their authentic vintage style. With a wealth of performing experience, Shirazz will add a unique flair to your next event.
Shirazz pride themselves on their professionalism and versatility. They are equally comfortable providing smooth background jazz, roving entertainment, swing dancing brackets, or a vintage party atmosphere. They always come dressed to impress with a variety of matching outfit choices. They have an extensive repertoire and are happy to take requests given sufficient notice.
Shirazz have produced three studio albums, including one nominated for Best Australian Classic Jazz Album at the 2013 Bell Awards. They have also performed on several live television and radio broadcasts. Through regular local and interstate touring, Shirazz have gained a reputation as one of Australia’s most popular festival bands.
