The Cairo Club Orchestra is a hot dance band performing the hits and misses of the roaring 1920's through to the swing era of the 1940's. Under the expert leadership of jazz eccentric Peter Milley, the Cairo Club Orchestra has dutifully collected, transcribed and presented rare and endangered musical arrangements from history's dust bin, many of which only exist within the Cairo Club Orchestra's vast library of music.
Also featured within the Cairo Club Orchestra's ranks are some of Melbourne's finest jazz musicians and their authentic period instruments from last century such as water chimes, vintage brass and reeds plus the 'Gong of Doom'.
